Fantasy Baseball Generals

Fantasy Baseball Warfare is a great matter to a nation; it is the ground of death and of life; it is the way of survival and of destruction, and must be examined.–Sun Tzu

This Week’s Fantasy Baseball Roundtable

Courtesy of our friends at Razzball.com, this week the experts look at their best victories and worst defeats in fantasy baseball seasons past.

This week the Roundtable participants got into reminiscing. The question was: Who do you consider your biggest fantasy baseball rival and describe your most gratifying victory and most painful defeat involving them?

For me this was an easy one. When I first starting playing in high stakes leagues ten years ago the guy who started the league actually threatened to sue another owner in the league (the Generals’ own Matt Finkelstein) for emailing around part of the constitution. Which he claimed to have a copyright on even though it was written by the league.  Even worse is that he was essentially in cahoots with a patsy in the league, who had no idea what he was doing and would always end up trading his best players to the villain.

This guy was easily one of the most obnoxious and worst guys to deal with that I have come across in fantasy baseball. So he highlights my best victory and my worst defeat, in which I traded Johan Santana for Mike Mussina and promptly bobsledded to third place.
