Jay Bruce has acquitted himself well so far in his first week in the majors, hitting his second home run already yesterday in Cincinnati’s 6-2 win over Atlanta.

Bruce went two-for-three in the game with two RBI, and has ten runs and six RBI in six major league games.
He’s also stolen two bases, though he was caught yesterday, as was fellow rookie Joey Votto, who was hitless in the game.

Johnny Cueto was the pitcher for the Reds, and he held the Braves to four hits over seven innings, striking out three while giving up a walk and two runs, which came off of back-to-back solo shots from Mark Teixeira and Brian McCann.

McCann is now hitting .318 with 10 HR and 33 RBI, with a .383 OBP and .967 OPS.
