Our compatriots at Greener on the Other Side compiled various opinions from across the blogosphere.

My friends at Greener on the Other Side compiled a list of the preseason picks from various websites up in the link above. There are some picks that are interesting, including my selection of the Tampa Bay Rays to win the AL Wild Card. My picks were:

AL East: Red Sox
AL Central: Tigers
Al West: Angels
Wild Card: Devil Rays

NL East: Mets
NL Central: Brewers
NL West: Rockies
Wild card: Diamondbacks

World Series - Mets defeat Red Sox

I am a devout Yankees fan and this was perhaps the most painful set of picks for me. Not only did I pick the Mets to win it all, but I picked the Rays to beat my Yankees. Ugh.

Some more interesting picks: Two guys picked the Tigers to win the WS. They have a tremendous offense, but their bullpen is so bad that it is tough to see a WS championship happening unless they pick up some relievers during the season. Of course that could happen, and their offense is so good they clearly have a good chance.

I was the only guy to pick the D’Backs for the NL Wild Card also, so apparently I am in my own universe on Wild Card picks.

Overall there is a general consensus on a lot of teams but some unique ones also so take a look and comment on my Rays and D’Backs picks.
