Prince Fielder homered twice last night to help the Brewers win 5-4 over the Phillies. Both home runs scored two, leading Fielder to account for four of Milwaukee’s five runs, and bringing his season line to 3 HR and 16 RBI, with a .264 batting average. The home runs knocked in Gabe Kapler, who’s batting .368, and Ryan Braun, who’s barely managing a .247. Both shots came off Philadelphia’s starter Cole Hamels, who otherwise pitched a good seven innings, giving up eight hits and two walks while striking out eleven. All of the Phillies’ runs came from home runs off Milwaukee’s starter Dave Bush–a solo shot each from Chase Utley and Pat Burrell, and a two-run dinger from Greg Dobbs to knock in Jayson Werth.

Derek Turnbow came in for the Brewers to record his first save of the season, after Eric Gagne pitched in each of the last four days, closing out those four days with a blown save.
