In a back-and-forth game yesterday that Toronto eventually lost, Aaron Hill (something of a favorite around here) was consistent all the way, hitting four-for-four, including a game-tying two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. Oakland regained the lead until Frank Thomas hit a home run (the Big Hurt’s third in as many days) off set-up man Alan Embree in the bottom of the 8th.
The game was saved for the A’s by a RBI from Mike Sweeney in the top of the 9th, and a one-walk, one-strikeout performance from Huston Street for the save (his first for the season).
